The CSPA would like to put a boat together for the Dragon Boat Race which is being held on Saturday 11 September at Bewl Water.  This will be a great, fun and healthy way to help raise money for the school. 

Each boat takes 16 people and one drummer so we need a squad of around 20.  On the day each race is only 250 metres, so you don't need to be marathon fit, nor to have done any rowing or dragon boat racing before.  The team will do 3 races, and a 4th if we are one of the winning teams that makes it through to the final.

We need to raise a minimum £2,000 of sponsorship, therefore each person will be responsible for raising £200.
 
Please let me know if you are interested in rowing or drumming, and also indicate if you would like to volunteer to be Captain of Boats, or a Vice-Captain (we can use plenty of vices).  It really isn't very difficult for anyone of average coordination - though lacking any sense of coordination I did make a complete fool of myself falling out of the Benenden Primary boat a few years ago.
